Until Help Arrives- Stop the Bleed Until Help Arrives- Stop the Bleed
For those new to the Until Help Arrives/Stop the Bleed Training program, this interactive, hands-on training opportunity was born out of the 2014 Active Bystander Training program – built and launched through a collaborative federal, state and local effort to give anyone the skills to help save lives by taking a few, specific actions when at the scene of an unexpected emergency. The 4-hour, in-person course has been produced by the Florida Department of Health, and includes additional content provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Until Help Arrives/Stop the Bleed training is open to Department staff, health care coalition members, emergency response partners, private and volunteer agencies.

This training provides instruction on the basic skills necessary to keep people with life-threatening injuries alive until professional help arrives
Topics include: • Developing skills to save lives during emergencies • Communicating with 9-1-1 operators • Learning how to stay safe yourself • Stop the Bleed techniques • Providing comfort and support to injured
