Name 390 Get Your Mitigation On!
: The Florida Division of Emergency Management’s Bureau of Mitigation will be hosting workshops around the state to help inform and encourage local jurisdictions to become more involved in mitigation opportunities. The topics that will be discussed are Local Mitigation Strategies (LMS), risk and vulnerability assessments, funding opportunities, the National Flood Insurance Program, Biggert-Water Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2012 and FEMA’s Risk MAP Program. The workshop will contain presentations from state representatives, interactive breakout sessions and opportunities for networking with other stakeholders in the mitigation process.
Target Audience
  • Anyone who deals at all with mitigation plans, grants or outreach at any level
  • This includes but is not limited to: LMS Working Groups, LMS Chairs/ Coordinators, Emergency Managers, Planners, Non-Profit Organizations, Tribal Entities, Regional Planning Councils, Water Management Districts, County Staff, City Staff, School Board Members, and more
