16055 Chemical Terrorism Awareness
This session is a short introduction to Chemical Terrorism, including the history of Chemical Terrorism. The training also includes information about specific chemical agents and toxic industrial chemicals, including symptoms of exposure and antidotes. Collecting Clinical Specimens after a Chemical Terrorism Event – This training is directed to individuals who would actually collect clinical specimens after a chemical terrorism exposure event. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has specific requirements regarding the quantities and types of specimens required, as well as specific protocols to be followed in their collection. Additionally, the specimens collected during a chemical terrorism event are evidentiary and therefore specific Chain-of-Custody procedures must be followed. This session consist of both a lectu
