Description
This course trains emergency responders and non-uniformed support personnel to operate monitoring stations within the Community Reception Center (CRC) or similar reception centers in order to perform population monitoring and contamination reduction measures after a radiological or nuclear incident. Examples of incidents that would initiate the establishment of a CRC include a nuclear detonation such as an Improvised Nuclear Device (IND), Radiological Dispersal Device (RDD), an attack on a Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) or other incidents that expose the general population to radioactive contamination.

Recommended Prerequisites: Introduction to Radiological/Nuclear WMD Operations (AWR-140 or online AWR-140W)
Target Audience
This one-day course prepares emergency responders and non-uniformed support personnel to operate monitoring stations within the Community Reception Center (CRC), or similar reception center to perform population monitoring and contamination reduction measures after a radiological or nuclear incident
Additional Information
Class will run from 0830 to 1630. Please use the parking garage located at 200 N. Sinclair Ave. The numbered spots in the EOC parking lot are reserved. Please complete course registration through Acadis in addition to registering on SERT Trac. 1. Navigate to the Acadis Homepage https://ctos.acadisonline.com/ 2. Select the WebForms link. 3. Select New User Account Request. Complete all fields including Applicant Certification. Note: To receive credit for this FEMA course, a valid Student Identification (SID) Number is required on the Account Request. A SID number can be obtained at the following link: https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid 4. Select Submit on the bottom of the page. 5. You will receive an email within 48 hours with your new LMS account information and a request to set up a password.
