Description
This course breaks down the fundamentals of Individual Assistance (IA), which is designed to coordinate assistance provided to individuals and households recovering from disaster. Topics include overviews of federal, state, local, and non-profit disaster assistance programs, information sharing and privacy, and planning for disaster housing missions. Students will leave this course with a better understanding of how to better support individuals in their communities by leveraging all available assistance mechanisms.

Target Audience
Emergency Managers, Mass Care Coordinators, Human Services and Social Services Personnel, County and Municipal Administrators, and Local entities responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting recovery efforts for individuals and households
