Description
|
This 16 hr. “Operations Level” course was designed to prepare participants for leadership
positions within an emergency shelter. These participants are required to comply with state
and federal Emergency Management regulations. Through this course, participants are
instructed regarding the standard guidelines for Leadership in the shelter Incident
Command System, management of their teams and management of the facilities. This course
will focus on operations level job responsibilities with the design, maintenance, animal care,
and human capacity of emergency shelters, understanding the importance of zoonotic
disease spread prevention and shelter/response team management.

Prerequisites: Completion of level 1

Florida State Animal Response Coalition (SARC), in partnership with St Lucie County Emergency Management, FL SART (www
FLSART
org) & FDACS is pleased to offer our Operations Level Small Animal Disaster and Emergency Sheltering class
This Operations Level (Level 2) class will give you the knowledge, expertise and practical experience you need to set up, run and manage the operations of an emergency animal shelter
Open to the Public but preference will be given to state, county, city employees
