:
(

)
Description
Delivered as part of TEEX’s Public Safety Wellness Program for First Responders through the National Emergency Response and Recovery Training Center (NERRTC), this program’s primary goal is to train first responders in culturally competent, trauma-informed, peer-supportive care—so they are prepared to support mental health needs in their communities through peer support networks. This three-day training covers all aspects of building and maintaining an effective peer support program. Participants must attend at least 80% of the course to receive credit. Courses are delivered by career first responders who bring both extensive field experience and a deep commitment to public safety wellness. This training is funded by DHS/FEMA and delivered at no cost to the hosting jurisdiction.
