Name S-215 Fire operations in the Wildland/Urban Interface : ( S-215)
Description designed to assist structure and wildland firefighters who will be making tactical decisions when confronting wildland fire that threatens life, property, and improvements, in the wildland urban interface.
PreRequisite Qualified as a Firefighter Type 1 (FFT1)
Target Audience Structure and wildland firefighters
Additional Information ***You must email FireTrainingCenter@volusia.org to register*** This course is for emergency responders who will be planning for and making operational decisions during an interface incident. Participants with receive insight on how to operate in the wildland urban interface incident by using situation awareness, performing structure triage, using preplanning tools, having a basic understanding of fire behavior, and using strategy and tactics unique to the wildland urban interface environment.
