Basic Details
Name CERT 001 Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training : ( CERT 001)
Description Before, during, and after disasters, CERT volunteer teams perform basic response activities, including checking in on neighbors, distributing information to the public, supporting emergency operations centers, and helping to manage traffic and crowds. Local CERT programs train and organize teams of volunteers to assist their families, neighbors, co-workers, and other community members.
PreRequisite IS-315a IS-317 Intro to CERT
Target Audience Colleges and university, schools (clubs/organizations), neighborhoods, scout group, faith-based organizations, community organizations, business and industry, individuals, and anyone interested in being better prepared for an emergency
Additional Information Classes are two consecutive weekends starting Saturday, June 21st-June 22nd and June 28th-June 29th. Class times are Saturdays from 9 am-5 pm and Sundays are from 1 pm-5 pm.
