Name HM 00003 Hazardous Materials Technician : ( HM 00003)
Description After completing this course, students will be able to safely and effectively operate in a hazardous materials environment. A hazmat technician should be able to analyze a hazardous incident, develop an appropriate response plan, implement the response plan, evaluate the progress of the response and adjust the plan as necessary to favorably change the outcomes, and be able to successfully terminate the response.

Target Audience Our Target student/trainee population includes: • Port and dock workers • Port Authority/Law enforcement • Maritime and offshore workers • Oil industry professionals • Cruise ship personnel (shipboard and dockside) • Public and private sectors • Firefighters • Emergency medical technicians • HazMat technicians and first responders • Emergency management personnel - marine incidents
Additional Information 100 Hours – Online - April 14th – May 14th (100 hrs, one month to complete) 60 Hours – Practical - May 19th – 24th (10 hrs/days) Practical portion located at Volusia County Fire Rescue Training Center, 3889 Tiger Bay Rd., Daytona Beach, FL 32124. Cost - $945-$1145 – Depends on number of students. Minimum 20. Your department will be invoiced separately. Items to bring to hands-on class: SCBA and Mask, Bunker Gear HazMat training suit and book included. Register directly with the company (iContinental Fire Training Academy, www.icft.academy).
