Name PER-332 Population Monitoring for Community Reception Centers : ( PER-332)
Description This course trains emergency responders and non-uniformed support personnel to operate monitoring stations within the Community Reception Center (CRC) or similar reception centers in order to perform population monitoring and contamination reduction measures after a radiological or nuclear incident. Examples of incidents that would initiate the establishment of a CRC include a nuclear detonation such as an Improvised Nuclear Device (IND), Radiological Dispersal Device (RDD), an attack on a Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) or other incidents that expose the general population to radioactive contamination.
PreRequisite None
Target Audience Hospital Emergency Room staff, Department of Health, Fire Rescue and EMS first responders, LEO, Parks and Recreation,
Additional Information This course is being taught by a cadre of instructors with Counter Terrorism Operations Support (CTOS) at the Center for Radiological/Nuclear Training in Nevada. The EOC tends to get cool, its suggested that students bring a jacket or sweater. Class will be held from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
