Name MGT-466 Sports and Special Event Enhanced Risk Management and Assessment : ( MGT-466)
Description This course provides participants with tools and methodologies for conducting venue-specific and event-specific risk assessments. In the course, participants will utilize assessment outputs to make risk mitigation decisions and determine how to measure the effectiveness of decision-making. This innovative training will introduce methodologies designed to complement and expand on national critical infrastructure framework guidelines. The interdisciplinary course stresses the importance of leveraging and applying proven practices to a wide-range of sport and special event safety and security risks.

Additional Information MGT-466 Registration Link: https://my.teex.org/TeexPortal/Default.aspx?MO=mCourseCatalog&D=NE&C=MGT466&S=166 The Sport and Special Event Enhanced Risk Management and Assessment course brings first and emergency responders, government, and commercial facilities professionals together to prepare or enhance risk management and assessment programs. The course introduces methodologies designed to complement and expand on national critical infrastructure framework guidelines. The training leverages a combination of exercises, discussions, and activities to optimize participant experience. The training is applicable across the United States regardless of the venue size, capacity, or type of event. Those who successfully complete this course should be able to use this training to develop or improve risk management and assessment programs for any sport or special event venue. This course represents a cooperative effort between The University of Southern Mississippi’s National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (USM/NCS⁴) and the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service’s National Emergency Response and Recovery Training Center (TEEX/NERRTC), a member of the Texas A&M University System. Class is from 0800 to 1700 hrs Park in any UNMARKED spot. Class will be in the Headquarters bldg in the EOC
