Name L-449 Incident Command System (ICS) Curricula Train-the-Trainer : ( L-449)
Description Successful completion of this course authorizes the individual to instruct the most recent versions of... 100, 200, 300, 400, 191 & 402. The goal of this 40-hour course, L449 Incident Command System (ICS) Curricula Train-the-Trainer, is designed to prepare instructors to deliver Incident Command System Curricula related training courses. The learner must achieve a minimum passing score of 80% on final knowledge assessments or demonstrate mastery on performance assessments or research assignments to earn the IACET CEU.
PreRequisite 100.C, 200.C, 700.B, 800.D Post May, 2019 G-300, G-400 and G-191. Formal instructor training such as M-410, MGT-323, National Wildland Coordinating Group Facilitative Instructor, EMI Master Trainer Program, Fire Instructor 1, 2, or 3, CTTI, FLETC, college, private industry, G-141, Instructional Presentation and Evaluation Skills, Office for Domestic Preparedness Instructor Course, valid teaching certificate, or equivalent.
Target Audience This course is a 40-hour course with homework assignments
This course is a capstone course for ICS lead instructors
Students must have a working knowledge of the ICS core curriculum
The goal of this 40-hour course, L-449 Incident Command System (ICS) Curricula Train-the-Trainer, is designed to advance instructors knowledge and ability to deliver Incident Command System Curricula related training courses
During the course, the learner must achieve a minimum passing score of 75% on final knowledge assessment and demonstrate mastery on performance assessments and research assignments to earn the IACET CEU
On day 1, a learner must achieve a minimum passing score of 80% on a 50 question combined exam, this assessment tests the learners knowledge on the course prerequisite Core Curriculums
The test covers the 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800 & 191
Selection Criteria: Participants must have successfully: Completed the prerequisite courses Completed recognized training to achieve qualifications in techniques of instruction and adult education methodologies
Must qualify as either a Lead or Unit instructor as noted in the NIMS Training Program The student must demonstrate a working knowledge of ICS principles
State, Territorial, Tribal and Local applicants for this Train the Trainer course require endorsement from the State Training Officer or equivalent to attend this course
Additional Information Class will be held from 0830-1730 daily. Classrooms run chilly, bring sweater or jacket if needed.
