Basic Details
Name L-967 NIMS ICS All-Hazards Logistics Section Chief (LSC) : ( L-967)
Description This course is designed to provide local and State-level emergency responders with a robust understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an effective Logistics Section Chief (LSC) on an All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). These responsibilities fall into two categories: 1) responding to the incident, and 2) effectively fulfilling the position responsibilities of a Logistics Section Chief on an AHIMT. Exercises, simulations, discussions, and a final exam enable participants to process and apply their new knowledge. NIMS ICS All-Hazards Position-Specific training should be completed by personnel who are regularly assigned to functional, support, or unit leader positions on United States Fire Administration (USFA) or other Type III AHIMTs, or by those persons who desire to seek credentials/certification in those positions. Prerequisites: Required:_ G300, Intermediate Incident Command System (ICS) for Expanding Incidents, ICS-300; IS 100.a, Introduct
PreRequisite IS-100, 200, 700, 800, and post-2019 ICS 300 and 400 certifications. All online classes need to meet the updated requirements with most recent versions of each individual course.
Target Audience Public safety personnel that intend to be members of local Incident Management Teams, serving as a Logistics Section Chief or as staff within the Logistics Section
Additional Information Course will run from 8:30-4:30 each day. A limited number of spaces will be made available to external counties. This course was procured with the intent to meet the needs of the Incident Management Team personnel in Collier County. The course will take place in the EMS Training Rooms, on the 2nd floor of the building. Upon acceptance into the course, additional pre-course information will be provided to register for the course.
