Name L-950 NIMS ICS All-Hazards Incident Commander : ( L-950)
Description This course is designed to provide local and state-level emergency responders with a robust understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an effective Incident Commander (IC) on an All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). These responsibilities fall into two categories: 1) responding to the incident and the command needs of the incident, and 2) effectively fulfilling the position responsibilities of an Incident Commander on an All-Hazards IMT.
PreRequisite • IS-100.c “Introduction to Incident Command System” • IS-200.c “Basic ICS for Initial Response” • IS-700.d “Introduction to National Incident Management System” • IS-800 “Introduction to National Response Framework” • G-300 “Intermediate ICS” • G-400 “Advanced ICS”
Target Audience Target audience:Includes Emergency Management Officials, Fire Service, Law Enforcement, Hospital Staff, Emergency Medical Services
Additional Information This course is sponsored by the Central Florida Disaster Medical Coalition (CFMDC). Students will be admitted based on the following priority: CFMDC participants, Central FL Incident Management Team, RDSTF Region 5 agencies, other IMTs, and all other interested students.
