Name E/G/K2300 Intermediate Emergency Operations Center Functions : ( G-2300)
Description The G 2300 Intermediate Emergency Operations Center Functions is a three-day course with the goal of assisting individuals and jurisdictions who desire to develop or improve their Emergency Operation Centers (EOC). By the end of the course, students will be able to demonstrate, through activities and a Final Exam, the managerial and operational roles of the modern-day EOC as a NIMS Command and Coordination functional group operating within a Multiagency Coordination System (MACS). Selection Criteria: The intended audience(s) are federal, state, tribal, territorial, local level, business and nongovernmental emergency management personnel who may be designated to support an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) within their jurisdiction or organization. The materials were developed with the assumption that audience members may have little or no actual experience as a member of an EOC Staff. Target Audience The audience may include students from a variety of agencies, organizations and functional disciplines, including fire service, law enforcement, emergency management, public works departments, as well as public health organizations, medical emergency teams, and hospitals, businesses and non-governmental organizations
Additional Information Course time is from 0900-1700. An email with additional information will be sent no later than Friday prior to class, including the electronic Student Manual. Paper copies will not be provided. Bring a laptop or device with you, as preferred. There is a refrigerator and break room for those who would like to bring their own lunch. The EOC may be cold, so bring a sweater or jacket. The parking lot for the EOC is on SE 8th Avenue between SE 11th Street and Nicholas Parkway. If a minimum threshold of 16 students is not met, the course may be cancelled/rescheduled at the discretion of Cape Coral Emergency Management.
