Name L-975 NIMS ICS All-Hazards Position-Specific: Finance/Administration Unit Leader (FAUL) : ( L-975)
Description The Finance/Administration Unit Leader (FAUL) course will help participants establish the essential core competencies required for performing the duties of the Finance/Administration Unit Leader in an all-hazards incident. The course is designed to enable participants to perform as any of the four FAULs (Time Unit Leader, Procurement Unit Leader, Compensation and Claims Unit Leader, Cost Unit Leader). Participants will learn information that is applicable across all four positions, such as Unit setup and management, information gathering, and interactions. Complex experiential exercises and discussions will afford participants the opportunity to act as each Unit Leader while connecting all information learned back to real-world application.
PreRequisite The required prerequisites to this course are: · IS-0100: An Introduction to the Incident Command System · IS-0200: Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response · E/L/G0300: Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents · IS-0700: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS) · IS-0800: National Response Framework (NRF), An Introduction
Target Audience NIMS ICS All-Hazards Position- Specific training should be completed by personnel who are regularly assigned to functional, support, or unit leader positions on Type III or IV AHIMTs, or by those persons who desire to seek credentials/certification in those positions
Additional Information •Arrive early to go through security •Bring your Student Identification Number (SID#). If you can’t find it, don’t remember it, or need to create one, please go to: https://cdp.dhs.gov/FEMASID/ •One of the Instructors will be sending you the classroom course manuals electronically for you to upload onto your laptop or convert into a hardcopy document. •Class will start promptly at 8:30AM and end approximately at 5:00PM each day at the discretion of the Instructors. •Bring a coat or jacket since the room may turn cold at times. •Masks and social distancing will be enforced. •Bring something to take notes with. The facility does not have any vending machines on site so bring your beverage and/or food with you. •There are food outlets/restaurants within close proximity.
