Name IS-317 Basic Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training : ( IS 317)
Description The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates ordinary people about disaster preparedness and weapons of mass destruction. The CERT Program trains you in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, and disaster medical operations. With proper CERT training, you can help protect your family, neighbors, and co-workers if a disaster occurs.This lesson provides an overview of the CERT role in disaster preparedness and response. It also covers what you will learn in other lessons about CERT organization and activities. It should take you approximately 20 minutes to complete this lesson.

Target Audience Colleges and University, Schools (clubs/organizations), Neighborhoods, scout Group, Faith-based Organizations, Community Organizations, Business and Industry, Individuals, Anyone wishing to be better prepared in the event of an emergency
Additional Information The course begins Monday August 22,2022 and ends Saturday August 27, 2022. During the week, Monday- Friday, the classes are from 6-9pm and on Saturday the class will be from 8am-2pm. The courses will be held at the American Red Cross education center. Attendance at all days and times is necessary for CERT completion.
