Name G-386 Mass Fatalities Incident Response : ( G-386)
Description This course prepares local and State response personnel and other responsible agencies and professionals to handle mass fatalities effectively and to work with the survivors in an emergency or disaster. Selection Criteria: This course is designed for personnel with a role to play in a mass fatality incident. This would include coroners, medical examiners, funeral directors, heads of first response agencies (fire, police, EMS, etc.) planners, and emergency management personnel.

Target Audience Audience for this course are First Responders, EM, and other Public Safety and Health professionals involved in mass fatalities incidents
The course will provide an introduction to mass fatalities incidents
The course will cover the main tasks that need to be done to plan for, operate at the scene of, and recover from mass fatalities incidents
The course will allow time to address your issues, concerns, and considerations
At the end of this course, you should be able to: • Describe the characteristics of a mass fatalities incident
• Identify the roles and responsibilities of key players in a mass fatalities incident
• Describe the steps required to respond to a mass fatalities incident, including catastrophic numbers of fatalities and contaminated remains
Additional Information Class will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end approximately 5:00 p.m. each day. Class will be held in IRSC's Treasure Coast Public Safety Training Complex.
