Description
This course primarily serves to give instructors, most of whom already have years of instructional experience within their own organizations, insight into adult education principles as well as the opportunity to comment on and improve their instructional style. The course focuses on enhancing instructional skills that may be applied within DHS-certified courses, but it also discusses organizationspecific policies, procedures and practices. The goal of this course is to ensure instructional excellence by providing a forum for experienced instructors to share their experiences with participants and learn together, both during discussions of instructional techniques and in commenting on each other’s presentation skills during prepared teachbacks.

Students must take pre-test after registering for class through NCBRT. *See additional Information*
Target Audience
Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Management Agency, Fire Service, Governmental Administrative, Hazardous Materials Personnel, Law Enforcement, Public Health The target audience for the Direct Delivery version of this course is experienced emergency response professionals including: • Law enforcement • Fire • Hazardous materials personnel • Personnel in the agricultural industry • Emergency medical service personnel • Emergency planners • Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) involved in the planning, preparation, response or recovery phases of disaster or emergency response • Healthcare professionals • Former military personnel

Please see attachment for registration process. Although you have registered in SERT Trac for the course, you must still register and take the pre-test through LSU-NCBRT. Class will be held from 8-5pm. **See attached NCBRT Registration Letter.** Students must have SID# Link to obtain one is https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid Students must register on SERTTRAC and through NCBRT. NCBRT Registration https://train.ncbrt.lsu.edu/student/register?classID=28984. EOC's run chilly, may want to bring a jacket/sweater.
