Name L-973 Finance/Administrative Section Chief (FSC) : ( L-973)
Description This course is designed to provide local and state-level emergency responders with a robust understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an effective FSC on an All-Hazards Incident Management Team. These responsibilities fall into two categories: FSC duties 1) managing the Finance/Administration Section personnel and 2) managing the finances and administrative responsibilities during an incident. Exercises, simulations, discussions, and a final exam enable students to process and apply their new knowledge. NIMS ICS Position Specific training should be completed by personnel who are regularly assigned to functional, support, or unit leader positions on USFA or other Type III All-Hazards Incident Management Teams (AHIMT), or by those persons who desire to seek credentials/certification in those positions. Prerequisites: Required:_ G400, Advanced Incident Command System (ICS), Command and General Staff—Complex Incidents, ICS-400.; G300, Intermediate Incident

Additional Information PLEASE NOTE: As of January 1, 2022, the State now requires all pre-requisite courses to be the latest versions. You will not be able to register for new classes until you have completed the latest versions of any pre-req courses. This applies to the IS-100, IS-200, IS-700 and IS-800 courses.
