Basic Details
Name L-954 Safety Officer (SOFR) on an All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT) : ( L-954)
Description This course is designed to provide local- and State-level emergency responders with a robust understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an effective Safety Officer (SOFR) on an All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). These responsibilities fall into two categories: 1) responding to the incident and the safety needs of the incident, and 2) effectively fulfilling the position responsibilities of a Safety Officer on an AHIMT Exercises, simulations, discussions, and a final exam enable participants to process and apply their new knowledge. NIMS ICS All-Hazards Position-Specific training should be completed by personnel who are regularly assigned to functional, support, or unit leader positions on United States Fire Administration (USFA) or other Type III AHIMTs, or by those persons who desire to seek credentials/certification in those positions. CEUs: 2.8

Target Audience
Additional Information *Bring your Student Identification Number (SID#)in addition, please bring ID so you can get into the EOC building. *Class will start at 8:30AM and end approximately at 5:00PM each day. *Arrive early to find parking and go through security.Additional overflow parking is located at the library next to the EOC. *Bring Jacket or coat in case classroom turns cold. *Bring something to take notes with.
