Name 2019 V G-400 Advanced Incident Command System Command & General Staff: Complex Incidents : ( 2019 V G-400)
Description This course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). The course expands upon information covered in ICS-100 through ICS-300 courses. The target audience for this course is personnel who are expected to perform in a management capacity in an Area command or Multiagency Coordination Entity. Selection Criteria: Persons expected to perform in a management capacity in an area command/complex incident environment. Personnel must have completed the following ICS courses or an equivalent to these courses: ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, ICS-700, and ICS-800.
PreRequisite Participants must have successfully completed: - IS0100,Introduction to the Incident Command System; - IS0200, Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response; - ICS 300 (E/L/G0300), Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents; - IS0700, National Incident Management System, An Introduction; - IS0800, National Response Framework, An Introduction Recommended: Experience using concepts and principles from ICS 100, ICS 200, and ICS 300 and use of skills in an operational environment.
Target Audience Individuals who may assume a supervisory role in expanding incidents or Type 3 incidents
Note: During a Type 3 incident, some or all of the Command and General Staff positions may be activated, as well as Division/Group Supervisor and/or Unit Leader level positions
These incidents may extend into multiple Operational Periods
Additional Information Class times 8:30-5:00 each day. Students should bring a Windows based laptop as class material will ONLY be distributed electronically on the first day of class.
