Description Generic event added to the course catalog to be used when scheduling Conferences, Divisional Trainings, Event, Exercise, Meeting, Seminar, or Workshop to effectively show this event on the calendar.
PreRequisite *REGISTRATION: Go to Page 2 of the attached document for registration information/procedure. *All participants are required to have a FEMA SID prior to enrolling in this training. If you do not remember what it is, can't find it, or need to create one, please "google" (FEMA SID number) or visit cdp.dhs.gov/femasid to register for a FEMA SID.
Target Audience EVENT PURPOSE: The Bombing Prevention Awareness Course (BPAC)provides participants knowledge of general bombing prevention measures from improvised explosive device (IED) construction and classification through protective measures for potential bombing incidents
It enhances the participant’s understanding of the IED threat and potential response picture that aids the participant in mitigating the impact of a bombing incident while considering time constraints of CI owner/operators and response personnel
WHO SHOULD ATTEND? This course is designed for public and private sector CI owner/operators interested in or required to have a basic awareness of bombing prevention measures
Public safety personnel, Emergency Managers, law enforcement, and special event security personnel can also benefit from the course
Additional Information *Register via the DHS link found in the attached document (see page 2) *Arrive early to find parking and go through security *Bring your SID# to class. *Class starts at 8AM and ends at 5PM *Classroom may turn cold so bring jacket or coat *Bring something to take notes.
