*AWR-140 Introduction to Radiological/Nuclear WMD Operations or equivalent
*Class will start promptly at 1;30PM and ends around 5:30PM

*COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course uses a series of drills designed to reinforce the skills of emergency responders, who have received training in the use of radiation detection instruments This course is applicable to both the prevent and response mission areas
CTOS provides instruments for training purposes; attendees are encouraged to bring their own department’s instruments if possible This course uses sealed radioactive sources to provide realism
*COURSE OBJECTIVES:
*Given a scenario(s) selected by the host agency, Participants will demonstrate the tasks required to complete the given assignment
*This course has been designed to provide a host agency with the opportunity to select specific drills and scenarios based upon the jurisdiction/region threat and hazard assessment These tasks may be evaluated on an associated Job Performance Requirement (JPR) if requested by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
Target Audience/Discipline
The target audience at the state, local, territorial, and tribal (SLTT) levels includes personnel who would perform tasks in any of the five National Preparedness Goal mission areas: Prevention, Protection, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery, with the focus on those who would be in the Response mission area
Law Enforcement, Fire Service, Hazardous Materials, Search and Rescue, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Healthcare, Public Health, Public Works, Transportation Security,

*Class will start promptly at 1;30PM and ends around 5:30PM. *Arrive early to go through security and find parking. *Bring something to take notes. *The room may turn cold so bring jacket/sweater. *Need to bring your Student Identification Number (SID#) with you to class.
