Name Israeli Emergency Medical Response – From Dispatch to Transport: Lessons Learned

Target Audience Command Staff, Policy Makers, Emergency Managers, Planners, Fire Rescue (EMS), Trauma Professionals and Law Enforcement, particularly SWAT Medics and Protective Element Medical Teams
Additional Information TIME: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM - Please arrive 15 mins early to sign-in and find seating. SCOPE: This seminar will be presented by Guy Caspi (see attached Bio) of Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) Ambulance Service. Mr. Caspi is currently the Chief Mass Casualty Incident Instructor and Director of Hazmat Exercises and Operations Training for MDA. Prior to his current position, Mr. Caspi has decades of experience as an EMT and paramedic on the ground, serving at multi-casualty incidents (MCI’s) during the First Intifada, the Second Intifada, the Second Lebanon War; Operation’s Cast Lead, Pillar of Defense and Protective Edge, bringing all these decades of experience here to us. Mr. Caspi’s seminar will allow us a unique and inside look at the Israeli ambulance service’s 9-1-1 system, response techniques and protocol’s, as well as medical response at MCI’s; which, Israel is one of the most adept MCI responders internationally. OBJECTIVES: Gathering techniques and lessons learned from MDA particularly on response to MCI events and MDA’s 9-1-1 and dispatch systems. In turn this will give us exposure to different perspectives on planning, training, exercising, and response we may choose to implement here at home.
