FL-605 Pre-event planning for FEMA’s Public Assistance Grant Program
This is a 1 day course covering the Who?, What?, When?, Where?, Why?, and How of pre-event planning for FEMA’s Public Assistance Grant Program. This course is intended to provide a Blue Skies tool kit for information and documentation gathering and record keeping to assist with the planning for potential FEMA Public Assistance project grant funding. Topics will include: Documentation compilation and retention; Pre-disaster contracts; Procurement policy; Insurance; Environmental/Historic; Debris; Labor, Equipment and Materials; and Contracted Work. This course will also cover the Disaster recovery Reform Act of 2018 and the changes that brings to the table for Florida.
Target Audience
This course is designed for local governments, PNP’s, Emergency Managers, Insurance and Risk Manages, Finance Officers, Procurement personnel, PA Project Managers, Public Works staff, Debris Managers, Disaster Recovery Managers, Grants Managers and Legal Counsel who are involved with the FEMA Public Assistance Grant process and are responsible for pre-event planning
