Name FL-681 Survivor Assistance (previously FL-614)
This course provides an in-depth overview of the key responsibilities and processes involved in recovery operations for individuals and households affected by disaster. It covers the establishment and operation of long-term recovery groups (LTRGs) and multi-agency resource centers (MARC), the role of volunteer organizations, and the integration of recovery partner organizations. Participants will gain valuable knowledge on survivor assistance impacts and the recovery efforts necessary to rebuild communities, both in the short and long term.

  • Provide an Overview of How to Establish and Administer a Locally-Led Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC): Learn the steps to set up and manage a MARC to support recovery efforts
  • Explain the Roles of Local Governments, Non-Profit Organizations, and Other Stakeholders in Survivor Assistance: Recognize how different organizations collaborate to assist survivors during the recovery process
