IS 317 Introduction To Community Emergency Response Teams
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates ordinary people about disaster preparedness and weapons of mass destruction. The CERT Program trains you in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, and disaster medical operations. With proper CERT training, you can help protect your family, neighbors, and co-workers if a disaster occurs.This lesson provides an overview of the CERT role in disaster preparedness and response. It also covers what you will learn in other lessons about CERT organization and activities. It should take you approximately 20 minutes to complete this lesson.
