FL-612 Debris Monitoring
This focused training is designed to provide an overview of the key responsibilities of debris monitoring during times of a presidentially declared incident. This half-day training is designed to provide participants with strategies to improve debris monitoring operations.
Target Audience
• Public works employees • Facilities employees • Local or State official employees • GIS staff who handle damage assessments utilizing technology are encouraged to attend as well since the focus has been broadened to encompass this methodology • Anyone involved in debris monitoring operations • Agencies heads may wish to designate staff employees who may handle this function in the event of a presidentially declared disaster
Course Objective
This course is designed to provide an overview of the key responsibilities of debris monitoring during times of a Presidentially declared incident
At the end of this course, participants will be able to: o Explain the importance of debris monitoring and identify Applicant responsibilities during times of Presidentially declared disasters
o Explain the debris monitoring process, including monitoring techniques, best practices, and issues
o Identify eligible and ineligible debris
