FL-FROC-653 A Comprehensive Approach to F-ROC Administration (previously FL-FROC-602)
In this course, participants will gain essential knowledge and practical skills to effectively assess, plan, and prepare their entities and organizations for the Florida Recovery Obligation Calculation (F-ROC) and tools. This course uses interactive discussions, case studies, and group exercises to allow participants to actively engage with peers and develop practical skills, which will ultimately support their ability to perform these activities more efficiently in the future and secure post-disaster funding quicker. By the end of this course, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of the Disaster Readiness Assessment process, the development and review of Customized Abatement Plans, the importance of a Post-Disaster Questionnaire, and how to use F-ROC forms and documentation to simplify their recovery process.
Target Audience
This course is designed for applicants who have determined that they will opt-in to F-ROC or have completed the Opt-In F-ROC training
Professionals, practitioners, and individuals involved in emergency management, emergency response, public health, community development, houses of worship, and related fields, who will be responsible for completing the F-ROC Disaster Readiness Assessment, should attend this training
Course Objective
1) Examine the importance and intricacies of completing Disaster Readiness Assessment
2) Explore best practices for engaging stakeholders and obtaining their input in completing your Disaster Readiness Assessment
3) Explore the significance of your Customized Abatement Plan in disaster preparedness
4) Learn how to interpret and analyze data from the Customized Abatement Plan
5) Gain hands-on experience reviewing, revising, and fine-tuning your Customized Abatement Plan to ensure it aligns with your organizational goals and community needs
6) Examine the importance of conducting a Post-Disaster Questionnaire as part of the recovery process
7) Apply practical techniques to communicate and share findings from Post-Disaster Questionnaires with relevant stakeholders
8) Gain a comprehensive understanding of F-ROC forms and documentation and their significance in the F-ROC processes
