Basic Details
Name
IO-MARC Mutual Aid Radio Communications
This is a 40-hour course provided to public safety personnel who serve as operators and/or technicians for the deployment, setup, maintenance, and operation of Florida's MARC units. MARC is part of the state’s SCIP and has played a role in responses during Hurricanes, Wildfires, and other incidents in Florida. MARC can provide transportable conventional radio communications infrastructure when fixed systems are at capacity, degraded, or unavailable, and can provide operational communications for responders on incident. (Florida’s MARC system is an integral part of Florida's State Technology Reserve waiver listed in its Public Safety Interoperable Communications (PSIC) grant submissions.)
