Name L-967 NIMS ICS All-Hazards Logistics Section Chief (LSC) : ( L-967)
Description This course is designed to provide local and State-level emergency responders with a robust understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an effective Logistics Section Chief (LSC) on an All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). These responsibilities fall into two categories: 1) responding to the incident, and 2) effectively fulfilling the position responsibilities of a Logistics Section Chief on an AHIMT. Exercises, simulations, discussions, and a final exam enable participants to process and apply their new knowledge. NIMS ICS All-Hazards Position-Specific training should be completed by personnel who are regularly assigned to functional, support, or unit leader positions on United States Fire Administration (USFA) or other Type III AHIMTs, or by those persons who desire to seek credentials/certification in those positions. Target Audience
Additional Information Class time is from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The EOC can be quite cold, so we recommend bringing a jacket to stay comfortable throughout the day. Business attire is required to maintain a professional environment. To help keep the space clean and avoid spills, all beverages must be in containers with secure lids. Students are required to bring their own laptops, as the host facility will not provide any.
