Name TRG-INTD Incident Tactical Dispatcher (INTD) Training Course : ( TRG-INTD)
Description An Incident Tactical Dispatcher is a resource qualified to operate at an incident command post, incident communications center, in support of a tactical operation. Incident Tactical Dispatchers leverage multi-tasking, communications, accountability and documentation skills of successful telecommunicators. INTD provide public safety communications expertise and support at planned events and expanding incidents. Incident Tactical Dispatchers may support the Communications Unit (COMU) as a single resource or as part of an incident tactical dispatch team. This course provides a basic understanding for the roles and responsibilities of an incident tactical dispatcher working in the incident command system (ICS) environment.

Target Audience Prerequisites for attendance are: A) Personal experience • A public safety background with three years of experience in dispatch operations • Awareness of fundamental public safety communications technology B) Must have completed the following on-line courses from the FEMA/EMI website: •IS-100, Introduction to ICS •IS-144, Telecommunicator Emergency Response Taskforce (TERT) Basic Course •IS-200, ICS for Single Resources and Initial Incidents •IS-700, National Incident Management System (NIMS), an Introduction •IS-800, National Response Framework (NRF) C) Suggested but not required: • G-300 Intermediate ICS for expanding incidents Target audience for this course are experienced public safety telecommunicators who possess agency endorsement for state mutual aid agreement (SMAA) deployment, as part of an ESF2 communications unit mission and/or ESF2 TERT team deployment activities
Additional Information Target Audience: Public Safety Telecommunicators based in region 1 and 2 with three years experience. Class Schedule: 0800-1600 daily. Important Information: The EOC could be cold, in addition to outdoor class activities; please come prepared. 2. Technology Requirement: Please plan to bring a laptop or tablet for course information, as well as an agency portable radio w/ charger if possible. 3. Health Reminder: If you are feeling sick, please stay at home. 4. Attire: Professional attire is required.
