Name G-489 Management of Spontaneous Volunteers in Disasters : ( G-489)
Description This course is designed to identify those issues and challenges in the management of spontaneous volunteer; how to manage these volunteer', develop a plan for your community; learn how to utilize and operate a Volunteer Reception Center (VRC). This course will also discuss best practices for managing volunteers including their use by VOADs.
PreRequisite
Target Audience This course is intended for MC coordinators, management staff, non-governmental organization leaders, private sector, and other emergency management staff that are a part of the team and have a responsibility for effective MC/EA preparedness and response
Additional Information Classes will be held in a classroom setting in the Bay County EOC. Class will start 0900- 5pm CST. Room tends to be cold, please bring a jacket. There is a break room with fridge for those who want to bring lunch. Please bring laptop or writing materials.
