Description The Bombing Prevention Awareness Course provides participants knowledge of general bombing prevention measures that aid in mitigating the impact of a bombing incident, including: IED construction and classification Homemade explosive (HME) precursor awareness Explosive effects mitigation Introduction to the terrorist attack cycle Identification of suspicious behaviors and items This is an 8 hour course. This course is offered by the "Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency Office for Bombing Prevention".
PreRequisite Course registration requires a FEMA SID, to complete the one-time registration process for a FEMA SID please visit: https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid/register
Target Audience Critical Infrastructure Owners and Operators, Public Safety Officers, Emergency Managers, Security Officers, Law Enforcement Officials, Private Sector Security Professionals Community Emergency Response Teams
Additional Information The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)/Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP) is authorized by IACET (International Accreditors of Continuing Education and Training) to award CEUs for this activity. 1.
