Name FAA Remote Pilot Training for Public Safety Users : ( _)
Description Generic event added to the course catalog to be used when scheduling Conferences, Divisional Trainings, Event, Exercise, Meeting, Seminar, or Workshop to effectively show this event on the calendar.
PreRequisite This course will prepare students with the knowledge items specified in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airmen Certification Standards (ACS) for the remote pilot certificate with a small unmanned aircraft rating During the course, students will also develop psychomotor skills operating Skydio platforms and other public safety mission-specific knowledge areas NOTE: FAA certification exam must be taken separately at an approved testing center GCSC will provide an opportunity to challenge the exam on Friday The current fee charged by PSI (the FAA’s approved proctor service) is $175, which is payable via credit card directly to PSI Target Audience: Emergency Management, Fire Rescue, Law Enforcement, Geographic Information System Specialists, and Volunteer Organizations
Target Audience Please complete the FAA TRUST certificate prior to arrival at the course and bring a copy of the completion certificate on the first day

Additional Information Class will run daily from 8:30AM - 5PM. Course materials will be electronic and emailed to students, so bring a digital device. An hour will be provided for lunch daily.
