Description
This course prepares local and State response personnel and other responsible agencies and professionals to handle mass fatalities effectively and to work with the survivors in an emergency or disaster. Selection Criteria: This course is designed for personnel with a role to play in a mass fatality incident. This would include coroners, medical examiners, funeral directors, heads of first response agencies (fire, police, EMS, etc.) planners, and emergency management personnel.

IS 100, IS 800
Target Audience
Personnel with a role in a mass fatality incident, such as coroners, medical examiners, funeral directors, justices of the peace, and emergency management coordinators
This course is part of the FEMA Advanced Practice Series (APS)
The APS curriculum provides "how to" training focused on skills needed for emergency operations and management
Additional Information
This class will start promptly at 0830 in the Operations Room at the EOC. Please bring a sweater or light jacket as the OPS room tends to get cold. Lunch will not be provided. Please see attachment for Training Plan. Due to COVID-19 and guidance from Public Protection, all participants will be required to wear a mask at all times and will be subject to temperature checks.
