Name PER-332 Population Monitoring for Community Reception Centers : ( PER-332)
Description This course trains emergency responders and non-uniformed support personnel to operate monitoring stations within the Community Reception Center (CRC) or similar reception centers in order to perform population monitoring and contamination reduction measures after a radiological or nuclear incident. Examples of incidents that would initiate the establishment of a CRC include a nuclear detonation such as an Improvised Nuclear Device (IND), Radiological Dispersal Device (RDD), an attack on a Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) or other incidents that expose the general population to radioactive contamination.
PreRequisite
Target Audience *DESCRIPTION: PER-332 provides fundamental knowledge and situational awareness to safely and effectively perform or assist population-monitoring duties at Community Reception Centers (CRCs) or similar facilities after a radiological/nuclear incident has occurred
*TARGET AUDIENCE: Fire Service, Law Enforcement, Emergency Management Agency, Emergency Medical Services, Governmental Administrative, Hazardous Materials Personnel, Healthcare, Public Health, Public Safety Communications, Public Works and private sector and general public members approved by the National Training and Education Division (NTED) *This includes persons from non-governmental organizations such as Red Cross or Community Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) and businesses, industries, and services who may have a role in the response
Additional Information *Class starts promptly at 8:30AM and ends approximately at 5:00PM. *Remember to bring your Student Identification Number(SID#) *Bring a coat or jacket since room may turn cold. *Bring something to take notes with.
