Name	HAZ01 OSHA 8 Hours Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Course : ( HAZ01)
Description	OSHA has developed the Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) program to protect workers at hazardous sites. These extensive regulations ensure their safety and health when followed correctly. All of our courses comply with OSHA regulations. Receive your certification with our 24- or 40-hour course, or renew your HAZWOPER certification with our 8-hour refresher.
PreRequisite	REQUIRED: In order to take the 16hr HAZWOPER: Operations course offered Tuesday, January 30-31, 2018, student must have completed this 8hr HAZWOPER Awareness portion. Target Audience	Required Prerequisite: Awareness/Refresher (8hrs of classroom instruction and small group learning) – for the: *Operations (Awareness, pre-requisite and 16 hours of classroom instructions and hands-on activities) – January 30-31, 2018 The Awareness level course involves eight hours of classroom instruction, case studies, and interactive tabletop scenarios emphasizing the concept of being aware of the materials that are handled, transported, or loaded and unloaded, through mechanisms such as labels and markings, Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG), or information stations In addition, this course stresses to the participants the idea of “observe and report,” with an emphasis on keeping themselves and others a safe distance from the hazardous material
Additional Information	Class will start at 8:00AM each day. Please arrive early to find parking and go through security. Please bring material/equipment to take notes; Business Casual attire; sweater/jacket would be recommended in case the classroom turns cold; you may bring snacks or liquids in a sealed container (water, coffee, or tea, etc.) PARKING: Landmark: Pier 1 Imports, it is free public parking, no access card or code required.
