FL-609(f) Permanent Work Eligibility
This course delivers an overview of Public Assistance (PA) eligibility costs, focusing specifically on Category C-G work, while integrating the F-ROC approach to enhance comprehension and implementation. Tailored for local officials and staff tasked with managing FEMA's Public Assistance Grants Program, this course equips participants with essential knowledge and strategies to navigate eligibility determinations effectively. This is one of the three courses that make up the PA Certificate. After completing FL-603, 608, & 609 you have the opportunity to receive a Public Assistance (PA) Certificate. Once you attend and receive your certificate for all three courses, please email FDEM-RecoveryTraining@em.myflorida.com to request that your SERT TRAC transcript be reviewed for a PA Certificate.
Target Audience
This course is intended for personnel who currently manage, or those intending to manage, FEMA federal financial assistance grants, including: • Direct recipients and/or subrecipients • State, Tribal, local government • Private nonprofit entities
Course Objective
At the end of this course, participants will be able to • Identify the Public Assistance (PA) Permanent Work categories
• Understand Permanent Work Guidelines and Compliance with Federal Regulations
• Review examples of F-ROC forms
• Explain the purpose of permanent work and identify eligible facilities
• Apply various compliance considerations (EHP, O&M, Codes and Standards) requirements
• Identify required documentation for various aspects of the PA Program as it relates to permanent work
