Name	G-317 Basic Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training : ( XXX )
Description	"Community Emergency Response Teams", CERT- 317, is a course that serves as an introduction to CERT for those wanting to complete training or as a refresher for current team members.CERT Program educated citizens about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light serach and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
PreRequisite
Target Audience	Colleges and University, Schools (clubs/organizations), Neighborhoods, scout Group, Faith-based Organizations, Community Organizations, Business and Industry, Individuals, Anyone wishing to be better prepared in the event of an emergency
Additional Information	The seven week class is free-of-charge to the public and covers the following topics: Disaster Preparedness Fire Safety  Disaster Medical Operations Light Search and Rescue Operations  CERT Organization and Disaster Psychology  Terrorism and CERT  The seven classes are on Wednesday evenings, and each session runs from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Classes are held at the Alachua County Emergency Operations Center located at 1100 SE 27th Street in Gainesville. *Note: The minimum class size is 15 otherwise the class will be cancelled.
