Description
|
This course is designed to provide local and state-level emergency responders with a robust understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an effective FSC on an All-Hazards Incident Management Team. These responsibilities fall into two categories: FSC duties 1) managing the Finance/Administration Section personnel and 2) managing the finances and administrative responsibilities during an incident. Exercises, simulations, discussions, and a final exam enable students to process and apply their new knowledge.
NIMS ICS Position Specific training should be completed by personnel who are regularly assigned to functional, support, or unit leader positions on USFA or other Type III All-Hazards Incident Management Teams (AHIMT), or by those persons who desire to seek credentials/certification in those positions.

Course Overview

This course is an instructor-led training that supports learning through discussion, lecture, and active participation in multiple exercises that provides a realistic, scenario-driven approach to mastering the skills required of a FSC Exercises, simulations, discussions, and a final exam enable participants to process and apply their new knowledge

Class Schedule:
- Start Time: 8:00 am
- End Time: 5:00 pm
Lunch Break: There is a 1 hour lunch break scheduled each day. Note that dining options nearby are limited, so packing food is recommended. The EOC has a refrigerator, microwave, and basic amenities available.
Important Items to Bring:
- A laptop/tablet, as course materials will be provided digitally.
- A jacket or sweater, as the EOC tends to be cooler.
Professional attire is required.
Health Considerations: In the event of illness, kindly refrain from attending.
